What is a floating pair?
On StonkFun every coin is launched against a quote asset and stays paired to it. A floating pair means the thing STONK10 is paired to is not fixed: it is re-picked every hour, by one rule only, the ten biggest coins on StonkFun by market cap.
Where does the top ten come from?
Straight from StonkFun's own market-cap ranking, the list its Flywheel page calls "current rankings". We read it at the top of every hour and lock it. Nobody hand-picks anything.
How often do I get paid?
Every hour. Each rotation is also a payout: holders are rewarded pro-rata from the index fund in the ten coins of that hour's basket.
Can I buy right before a payout and sell right after?
No. Only wallets that have held STONK10 for more than one hour are eligible, so a bag bought at 14:50 does not qualify for the 15:00 payout, and selling straight after a payout resets the clock. The rule exists so the hourly rewards go to holders, not to people timing the hour.
What happens when a coin drops out of the ten?
It leaves the pair at the next rotation and a climber takes its slot. You never have to sell or rotate anything yourself; the index does it for you, on the hour.
Is this an index fund?
It behaves like one: a single coin whose exposure is spread over the ten largest stonk coins at any given time and rebalanced hourly. It is a memecoin, not a regulated financial product, and nothing here is financial advice.
Why hourly and not daily?
Because the top ten on StonkFun moves fast. A daily index would spend most of the day paired to yesterday's winners. Hourly keeps the pair pointed at what is actually winning.
